wwdc excitement
this is the most exciting announcement i've witnessed yet since working at apple. people at work were excited about certain things but not really surprised. i think apple employees have a different 'wow' meter than the rest. maybe it's because they've seen so many cool things unveiled that nothing could surpass their first WOW experience. or maybe it's because many of the employees have worked on these products/services/updates that the announcement is more of a giving props than being impressed with the new.
for me, i can't stop thinking about mobileme. surprisingly, i am really excited about it and throughout the day i found myself a little disappointed that it's not going to be available till july. i think it's because this will be the solution to getting myself organized, having one central place that i can sync my life to. there are several things out there already that acts as your public photo gallery, an FTP, calendar program, etc. but this is going to be really amazing to have one central place to have everything stored all in one account...and web based!
of course, the announcement of the 3G iphone was exciting but what was equally exciting was the announcement of the 2.0 update! i mean, scientific calculator? we all know that life will be easier once we can calculate the sine of something whenever we need to. also, being able to store photo attachments from emails is another cool thing i'm stoked about. and you can't forget about the app store (which will provide endless super neat things) and GPS. this update will provide the world all the things they could only find previously in a blackberry. watch out crackberry users, the 3G iphone plus this update is going to give you something much cooler to be addicted to.
