so usually when i drink the last of the water i go get someone to
replace the bottle for me, in fear that i'd spill everywhere if i
attempted it myself. but today, i felt confident. i did it! success!

it's amazing that people like this guy are inspired to do things like this, just because.



this is the explanation that comes with the video: what are these humans doing? dancing. many humans on earth exhibit periods of happiness, and one method of displaying happiness is dancing. happiness and dancing transcend political boundaries and occur in practically every human society. above, matt harding traveled through many nations on earth, started dancing, and filmed the result. the video is perhaps a dramatic example that humans from all over planet earth feel a common bond as part of a single species. happiness is frequently contagious -- few people are able to watch the above video without smiling.

brighter side (cheesy post)

sometimes you need to force yourself to reflect on your life to really remember all the great things going on. through the daily hustle and bustle, it's easy to forget the things you're grateful for. today i had an extremely rough day and i took a moment to think about the awesome things in my life. this helped me forget about the minor shit that i got hung up on earlier.

1. legalized alcohol. what would we have done if we lived during prohibition?

2. loving family. i'm lucky to have a healthy family that i have a good relationship with.

3. significant other and friends that lend me support, love and laughs when i need it.

4. my health is good.

5. an apt in sf. i don't think i've ever been happier...i'm in SF!

6. a great job that pays me enough to pay bills and play.

7. yummy food at my fingertips.

and i'm sure there's more. otherall, looking back, i'm proud of my accomplishments and where they have led me. i really have nothing to complain about. my life is pretty awesome if you think about it. life is good but could it be better?

MobileME push

so i just experienced the greatness of the pushing of contacts and calendar events from my macbook, iphone and mobileme account. it's awesome! create a contact anywhere and all gets updated. it feels great to know that everything is synced together and all consistent across the board. i still have yet to add photos and keep files on my mobileme account but soon...very soon.

some advice, if i may. for the initial setup of your mobileme account, make sure you sync with your computer first, then setup your phone to push contacts, calendar and bookmarks. i made the mistake of creating my mobileme account, then setting up my phone to utilize mobileme. since there was nothing on my mobileme account, it pushed everything onto my phone, which was no contacts, no calendar events, no nothing (good thing i have everything backed up). you've been warned.

first favorite 2.0 app - shazam!

this app is pretty cool. it listens to songs and identifies them for you! i tried it out by playing a song on my MacBook (remote app is awesome). i started up shazam and in seconds it gave me the artist, title, album and a link to a YouTube video. it worked! next time i'm driving and hear a song from the car next to me that i don't recognize, i can just hold up my phone and find out!
